Geoff Foster
Geoff was on Pirates of the Caribbean 3 duties at Air Studios with a couple of pick ups at Abbey Road, with composer Tuomas Kantelinen on Mongol at Air Studios, then spent two weeks with in Air's Lyndhurst Hall with Craig Armstrong and A.R Rahman for the recording of the soundtrack for Golden Age – the follow up to Elizabeth with Cate Blanchett. Geoff finished off the month back at Abbey Road with James Newton Howard for the recording of The Water Horse soundtrack.
Rupert Coulson
Rupert recorded the music for a new British Airways ad and then joined Nick Wollage in studios in Sofia, Bulgaria at the end of the month to work with composer Ed Shearmur for The Starter Wife. Steve Orchard
Steve spent much of April finishing off Travis’ new album The Boy With No Name at Rak studios (the album was then released on May 7th and charted at number 4 in the album charts). He also engineered for them at Riverside Studios in Hammersmith for a live session on Channel 4’s popular music show Popworld. Nick Wollage
Nick began the month of April in Air's Lyndhurst Hall engineering a charity single for Challenge Anneka (to be screened on ITV1 on Wednesday 6th June), involving a raft of celebrities including Jermiane Jackson, Jimmy Osmond, Myleene Klass and Duncan James from boy band Blue. He then spent time between Air Studios and our Strongroom studios in Shoreditch engineering for composers Harry Escott and Molly Nyman on new film A Might Heart. Nick then went to Sofia in Bulgaria to engineer for composer Rolfe Kent on Spring Break in Bosnia. Jon Bailey Jon spent most of April in Newcastle recording with producer Simon Franglen and critically acclaimed singer and New Zealander Will Martin on his new album. He also recorded a session with Welsh rock band Funeral For a Friend in Studio 1 at AIR, which was being filmed to accompany forthcoming single releases. |
