As well as the Golden Globes, the 57th Grammy Awards nominees have been announced and we’re delighted to say that several of the engineers on our roster have been involved with the recordings nominated. Coldplay are up for 3 awards – Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “A Sky Full of Stars”, Best Pop Vocal Album for “Ghost Stories” and Best Music Film for “Ghost Stories” – Olga FitzRoy is proud to have been on board for these. The movies “Gone Girl”, recorded by Geoff Foster, and “The Grand Budapest Hotel”, which involved Rupert Coulson, Jake Jackson & Olga FitzRoy, are up for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media, and finally Vince Mendoza has been nominated for Best Arrangement, Instruments and Vocals for the track “Goodnight America” from Mary Chapin Carpenter’s album “Songs from The Movie”, which Geoff Foster recorded at AIR Studios. We can wait to hear the winners announced on February 9th – fingers crossed everyone!
