Jake is one on the most exciting talents to emerge in recent years within the TV and film scoring genre. Having worked at the world renowned AIR Studios since 1998, he has become an excellent orchestral/band recording and mix engineer. In 2011 he won Breakthrough Engineer at the MPG Awards and again in 2013 for Best Live Production.

Now freelance, Jake’s technical knowledge and his ability to understand how to achieve the best results with both small and large groups of musicians means he can tackle any project thrown at him, always working with the calm, assured manner he has become known for. Projects Jake has worked on have been awarded Oscars, Grammys, BRITS & Golden Globes.

Film and game scores include mixing Micachu’s sci-fi thriller ‘Under The Skin’, Patrick Doyle for Disney’s enchanting rendition of ‘Cinderella’, Daniel Hart for fantasy adventure ‘Pete’s Dragon’ and Sony PlayStation, including recording & mixing the score for the BAFTA winning ‘Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture’ by Jessica Curry.

TV collaborations include Murray Gold, whom Jake has worked with for several years on diverse projects spanning from ‘Doctor Who’ to ‘A Very English Scandal’. He regularly works with Nick Cave & Warren Ellis on production, recording and mixing the score to ‘The Road’, ‘20,000 Days on Earth’ and ‘Loins Des Hommes’ and the film ‘War Machine’. Jake also mixed Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds album ‘Skeleton Tree’ and recorded and mixed the accompanying film ‘One More Time with Feeling’.

As well as Jake’s expertise in the TV and film scoring genre, he has been the Chief Engineer at Spitfire Audio since 2009, with whom he has recorded, mixed and produced award winning & critically acclaimed sample libraries, including the Chamber series, as well as all of the Symphonic, Albion, Choir and Definitive ranges.
